Remembering...

please keep Hannah's family in your prayers today. Her funeral service is today at 11am. I'm thankful that i can be apart of this celebration of her life. what a brave and sweet girl she was. you can visit Hannah's page here; http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/hannahp03

i was talking with a co-worker yesterday who was blessed with a preemie baby girl a couple of years ago. what a battle she has fought as well. she weighs 26 pounds now and is thriving well. like Janna, she is developmentally delayed but doing things in her own time and showing all of drs what she is made of. she surprises everyone daily. God has seen her through some tough battles. what a miracle she is! in talking we got on the subject of potty training. so this little story came to mind;

Janna showed some interest in potty training the Summer after turning 2. so, we bought a little potty chair and sure enough, she went a few times and we all cheered, etc. well, it was easy to catch Janna in the act of a #2 diaper because she always heads behind the recliner and at that age she would strain some. SO, i caught her one day, put her on the potty and sure enough she produced #2 in the potty. i whooped and cheered, etc. and showed her what she had done. Janna smiled real big and signed and said her version of, 'COOKIE' - LOL! needless to say, i knew right away that it was a little early for potty training! but we're back at it strong and have been since the Summer. she is doing well although not 100%. but we know that in her time, she WILL put it in the potty! : )

Good luck with potty training. It is a LONG process. At least with my kids.
