Family Truths

When i saw this i knew right away that i wanted to adopt it as our family motto.

I have great worth, not because of my performance, or because I finish first, or because I have great skill, but because I'm loved completely by my Heavenly Father who knit me together in my mama's womb and knows me inside and out. He loves me completely, even knowing all my failures, faults, and weaknesses, because He created me. The plans for my life are in His hands, and He will use every thing that happens to me, good and bad, to draw me into relationship with Him. I can find rest and peace with Him.

Knowing these truths frees us to attempt things that we may fail at, love people that don't love us back, and pursue dreams that don't have marked paths. Our Father loves the journey as much as the destination, so we can live fully attentive to each step of our journey. Each step teaches us our Father is trustworthy to journey with us, even at the low places where we may not feel His presence. Growth in our lives happens as the Father changes us from the inside-out.

Then, if we do happen to perform well, finish first, or have great skill, we can live free to be all God created us to be.

We will live loved, and love.
